Next Level is launching an online human resource tool, called HRyou, to help business owners understand employment laws, hiring, managing performance, records retention, etc. The target audience is companies that don’t have a full-time HR professional on staff, including business owners who are trying to handle HR themselves or relying on an administrative staff person to handle things.

Thomas Jefferson is credited with saying “Ignorance of the law is no excuse.” This is certainly true today in our litigious society and in an environment of quickly changing employment laws. HRyou provides up-to-date legal information as well as best practices in handling employment issues.

Some of the most common HR mistakes that business owners make are:

HRyou is a self-paced program that includes short video lessons with supplemental materials, including templates, policy samples and articles with additional information. In addition, subscribers have access to a certified HR professional who will answer questions and provide assistance.

These lessons provide a general overview of basic employment laws and common HR policies. After completing the course, the lessons serve as a reference tool when needed.
